Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center is interviewing for a Registered Nurse. You will provide patient-centered care following the nursing process, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and educate patients and families.

The role emphasizes safety, infection control, and compliance with standards. We welcome 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience and require RN licensure in Texas, with BCLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in clinical nursing or student rotations in acute care.
• RN licensure required in state; BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nursing process and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Assesses patients and documents findings; reports condition changes to care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develops and evaluates individualized care plans with the team.
• Responds to medical emergencies; participates in CPR and code team activities.
• Educates patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Ensures infection control and maintains a safe environment.
• Documents care thoroughly in medical records.
• Participates in quality improvement and compliance activities.
• Maintains regular attendance and adheres to policies.
• Critical Care RN duties include managing central lines, ventilation as needed.
