Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU at St. Joseph's Hospital South in Riverview, FL.

You will deliver expert, compassionate care to ICU patients on a full-time schedule with a 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM shift and every-other-weekend requirements. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, monitoring patient status, responding to emergencies, coordinating discharge planning, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Nursing diploma/associate/bachelor degree required.
• Preferred education: Bachelor's in Nursing.
• 1 year RN ICU experience in Acute Care setting preferred.
• BLS certification required (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Works in a hospital setting providing ICU care following nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to the health care team.
• Monitors patient vitals and assessments; documents for the care team.
• Identifies sudden or subtle changes in patient condition.
• Responds to medical emergencies for critical patients.
• Coordinates discharge planning and referrals for continuity of care.
• Maintains high emotional intelligence to enhance patient care experience.
• Demonstrates professional accountability and development.
