Job summary
BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical ICU at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, FL. This full-time role features a night shift (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) with every-other-weekend requirements and no on-call duties.
The position emphasizes compassionate, high-quality patient care and collaboration with a large BayCare network. Qualified candidates will hold a valid RN license and a nursing degree at diploma, associate, or bachelor level, with 1 year ICU
Qualifications
- RN License required.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- 1 year RN ICU experience in Acute Care setting.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Care for ICU patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
- Delegate appropriate care activities to health care team members.
- Monitor and document patient vitals, assessments and progress.
- Respond to medical emergencies for critical patients.
- Coordinate discharge planning and referrals for continuity of care.
- Maintain high emotional intelligence to ensure a positive patient experience.
