Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for ICU-focused care on a full-time, day shift. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer medications safely, educate families, and collaborate with the care team to coordinate services.

The role requires an Associate's in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), and a valid RN license with at least 1 year of ICU experience. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• ICU experience: minimum 1 year
• BLS certification required
• Associate degree is required; bachelor’s preferred
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental and social factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Monitor and adjust care plans to improve patient outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Supervise care delivery by team members as needed.
