Sheridan Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced ICU nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in the Intensive Care Unit. The role may include duties in other units as oriented, prioritizing care based on physical and psychosocial needs and communicating changes to physicians.

Candidate must demonstrate rapid, accurate response to clinical changes, apply ACLS protocols, and perform general nursing duties with supervision. Strong cardiac monitoring and critical thinking are essential.

Competenze

• Current unrestricted Wyoming Registered Nurse Licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within one year of the position start date.
• ENPC or PALS certification required within one year of the start date.
• TNCC certification required within one year of the start date.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required.

• Provides direct and indirect professional nursing care for patients in the ICU; may work in other units as oriented/assigned.
• Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs and communicates changes to physicians.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Performs general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac monitoring and identifies dysrhythmias per ACLS protocol.
• Provides airway management, CPR, nutrition/fluid/electrolyte care, and post-anesthesia assessment.
• Functions independently using critical thinking until physician on site; assists with orientation of new ICU staff.
• Maintains department competencies.
