Job summary

Applicants should hold an active New Jersey nursing license, have BLS/CPR, and either have six months of nursing experience or participation in the hospital’s Nurse Residency Program.

Qualifications

• New Jersey nursing license required or eligible.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Six+ months of nursing experience or active Nurse Residency program participation.
• Telemetry certification is a plus.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• National certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based policies and standards of care to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team about patient status and care plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery.
• Electronic Point-of-Care documentation of assessments, plans of care, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharging patients safely and coordinating continuity of care.
