Qualifications

• New Jersey nursing license required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association.
• BSN in progress within three years of hire.
• 1 year ICU RN experience required.
• Telemetry certification is a plus.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• National certification is a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to the latest evidence-based research, policies and standards of care to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and the health care team regarding status, care and plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safety.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, plans and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transitions of care.
