Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care in Hendersonville, NC seeks a Clinical Nurse for the ICU to coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process. This full-time night-shift role involves 36 hours per week and requires an NC RN license and BLS; ACLS is preferred.

Onsite care in the ICU with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified nurses. The Clinical Nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, organize care, and support discharge planning while upholding safety and infection-control

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in NC or a compact state by the day of clinical care.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification preferred for advanced care.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under the direction of a physician.
• Reports and records the plan for care and patient responses.
• Provides competent nursing care in line with policies and standards.
• Organizes and prioritizes care, coordinating discharge planning as needed.
• Collaborates with peers in a clinical operations environment to foster communication.
• Synthesizes data to determine priorities for care and discharge needs.
• Communicates with patient/family to update the plan of care with cultural competence.
• Develops clinical and operational excellence through education and training.
• Promotes a safe, clean hospital environment and applies infection control principles.
