Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU. This full-time night shift (7 p.m.

to 7 a.m.) includes a commitment bonus of up to $20,000 and an opportunity to provide essential, patient-centered ICU care in a low nurse-to-patient environment. The ideal candidate holds an NC RN license (or compact), an ASN, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina RN license or compact license.
• ASN from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• PALS, ACLS and Handle with Care preferred.
• One year of RN hospital experience required.
• Active NC RN license (or compact) with PSOR update if relocating.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU using the nursing process and standards of practice.
• Perform plan of care interventions, medication administration, specimen collection and treatments.
• Document patient care and monitor patient condition; communicate with care team, physicians, patients and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and coordinate transfers, discharges and referrals.
• Educate patients and families; advocate for physical and emotional well-being; participate in QA and ongoing education.
