Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck is seeking an RN Clinical Instructor - ACE Preceptor to guide University of Mary nursing students through ICU/PCU rotations while delivering direct patient care.

You will mentor students, model professional nursing practice, and deliver timely feedback to support learning and clinical judgment. The role requires a BSN, 2+ years ICU/PCU bedside experience, ND RN licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum two years of bedside nursing experience in ICU/PCU.
• Current unencumbered RN license in North Dakota.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Formal preceptor training/experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and orient nursing students to the clinical practice setting.
• Model professional nursing practice and mentor students and staff.
• Cultivate hands-on practice experiences in the Medical Surgical Acute care setting.
• Provide on-site clinical instruction for two students while managing a department assignment.
• Give regular verbal and written feedback on student performance.
