Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Staff Nurse PCCU for Medical ICU (Open Heart Surgery and Neurosurgery Pods) in Elmhurst, IL. This full-time night shift covers 7pm–7:30am with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities include planning and evaluating care, patient assessment, and communicating with the care team. Requires active IL nursing license, ACLS, BLS, and 1 year inpatient experience.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing required or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing must be completed within five years of start date (where applicable).
• Active Illinois State Nursing License required.
• ACLS required; BLS/CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care identifying interventions to achieve outcomes and revises as needed.
• Performs patient assessment and health data collection with patient, family, and other providers.
• Communicates plan of care to patient and family and coordinates with physician and team.
• Provides patient and family teaching tailored to learning needs and cultural background.
• Supports continued professional development of peers and students; delegates tasks as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and provide compassionate care.
• Assist with procedures including injections, IV management, and oxygen therapy as needed.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and evidence-based practice.
