Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Intermediate Care Unit in Charlottesville, VA. This full-time, day shift role supports RNs, performs routine ADL assistance and vital signs, and participates in phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• One of CNA/NCMA/NCPCT certification accepted or equivalent.
• Clinical program enrollment or related healthcare work experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Monitor vitals, mobility, and patient condition; document changes for RN.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen collection per protocol.
• Support nursing staff and ensure patient safety and comfort.
