Job summary

UPMC Chautauqua is seeking a Casual Patient Care Technician to join the ICU team. This 12-hour shift role may rotate days and overnights and will require weekend and holiday coverage.

The ideal candidate has healthcare experience and is committed to improving patient experiences within a supportive team. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, participating in therapeutic activities and reporting status changes to the RN.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Willing to work 12‑hour shifts and rotate days and/or overnights.
• Weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with physical, respiratory and cardiopulmonary therapies and report changes to RN.
• Perform core nursing assistant tasks such as monitoring vitals, weights, glucose, I&O and specimen collection.
• Document in the medical record and communicate effectively with the health care team.
