Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is seeking a Patient Care Technician – ICU to assist in delivering high‑quality patient care in a night shift setting. The role is based in Highland Park, IL with a 36‑hour work week and rotating weekends. The position includes an hourly pay range of $18.84 to $27.32, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities include vitals, EKG, specimen collection, patient mobility, and collaboration with RNs to implement care plans. Eligible applicants must be U.S.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the U.S.; CNA training preferred or at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical fields.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience or prior nursing assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist under supervision of a RN to deliver patient care.
• Perform vital signs, including manual blood pressure.
• Conduct 12‑Lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal.
• Collect sterile specimens, conduct bathing, turn, ambulate patients, and perform hourly rounding.
• Check blood glucose, feed patients, admit to rooms, prepare for discharge, and perform other delegated duties.
• Support implementation of patient‑specific care plans.
• Participate in activities essential to unit functioning.
• Contribute positively to safety outcomes and promote high‑quality patient experience.
