3M HEALTHCARE in Highland Park, IL is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician – ICU to support the nursing team. The role covers day shifts with rotating weekends, about 20 hours per week, under supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care.

The successful candidate will assist with vital signs, basic nursing tasks, and a patient‑specific care plan implementation. CNA training or nursing rotation experience and a current BLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the U.S.; CNA training preferred or nursing clinical rotation.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required
• 1 year of customer service or nursing assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, deliver patient care.
• Assist with vital signs, EKGs, bladder ultrasound, catheter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, turning, and daily care.
• Assist with implementation of a patient-specific care plan.
• Support unit operations and safety initiatives.

Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32

Position: Patient Care Technician – ICU

Location: Highland Park, IL

Full Time/Part Time: Part time, 20 hours/week

Hours: Day shift, Rotating weekends

Required Travel: No

What you will do

• Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care
• Assist with vital signs (including manual blood pressure), 12‑Lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, changing beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose checks, feeding, admitting patients to rooms, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse
• Assist with the implementation of a patient‑specific care plan
• Participate in other activities essential to the functioning of the patient care unit
• Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote a high‑quality patient experience

What you will need

• Education: Eligible to work in the U.S.; completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical preferred
• Certification: Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by either the American Heart Association required
• Experience: 1 year of customer service preferred and/or prior nursing assistant experience preferred
