Responsibilities

• Assists the registered nurse in patient care appropriate to patient population.
• Collects and communicates clinical data to the supervising nurse.
• Transports or accompanies patients as needed within the hospital.
• Assists in patient teaching and documents care parameters.
• Supports admission, transfer, and discharge tasks as requested by the nurse.
• Maintains patient/family confidentiality and coordinates with departments.
