Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse for ICU/PCU duties in a high-acuity setting. You will perform patient assessments, assist in interventional procedures and support physicians with conscious sedation and aseptic technique.

Required NH or compact-state RN license, BCLS. BSN preferred; ACLS within 1 year is desirable. Sign-on bonus, nursing excellence and patient-centered care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Required: Candidates without CCL experience, 2+ years ICU, PCU, ED required.
• Recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
• May consider recent cardiac telemetry / post cardiac care experience and can demonstrate critical thinking skills.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table following specified protocols.
• Continuous assessment of patient hemodynamics.
• Performs conscious sedation.
• Mix and maintain IV/IC infusion and bolus.
• Alerts Physician to changes in patient responses.
• Assists Physician in interventional procedures.
• Recovery of patient to Phase.
• Acts as a liaison between family, patient and Physician.
• Performs procedures to include non-sterile, dressing changes and maintaining aseptic technique.
