Job summary

Banner Ocotillo Medical Center in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join our ICU MOSU Unit. This full-time, day shift (6:00 AM–6:30 PM) position requires 3 shifts per week with weekend/holiday rotations and applicable shift differentials.

You will perform routine patient care, data collection, and support duties across the unit, helping with basic hygiene, vital signs, specimens, and documentation in the EMR. A CNA licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CNA and BLS certification required.
• 1 year medical clerical experience preferred; hospital setting preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient health.
• Collect vital signs and other data; document in medical records.
• Report abnormalities to licensed professionals and ensure continuity of care.
• Perform delegated procedures and support unit staff and patients.
• Handle receptionist/clerical tasks to support department operations.
• Maintain patient records, charts, and supply levels; support OR turnover as needed.
• Assist with patient transport and equipment management.
• Work under supervision in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Demonstrate patient-centered care and strong teamwork.
