Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current CNA license in state of practice is required for new hires.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy is required.
• ECG/EEG interpretation training or unit secretary program is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to care plans.
• Collect patient data and vital signs, document in EMR, and assist with specimens as needed.
• Report abnormalities and communicate patient status to the care team.
• Assist with procedures and use equipment under supervision of licensed staff.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support departmental operations.
• Maintain complete patient records, chart forms, and supply par levels.
