Job summary

KAISER in Wailuku, Hawaii seeks a part-time Hospital Aide to support inpatient care on the ICU unit. Performs non-professional patient care under supervision, assisting with admissions, transfers, and routine tasks while maintaining safety and infection control standards.

Candidates should complete hospital aide training and have BLS within 1 month of hire; experience on a hospital aide program is preferred to ensure readiness for fast-paced care.

Qualifications

• Hospital Aide training or equivalent completed.
• Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with data collection; reports changes to RN/LPN and follows care plan.
• Assists with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Performs basic nursing skills with standard equipment.
• Documents nursing activities in medical records per standards.
• Follows safety, infection control and environmental guidelines.
• Reports incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Assists during Code 500 (Chest compressions) when directed.
