Job summary
Essentia Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the team serving Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota. The role involves direct patient care under RNs, with duties including hygiene assistance, vital signs, and safe patient transfers.
Shift is permanent night rotation, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holidays. Eligibility includes 6 months of patient care or related nursing training and active state nursing assistant registration.
Qualifications
- 6 months of patient care experience or
- Completion of one semester of clinical rotations in an accredited nursing program or
- Nursing assistant training completed within one month of hire or
- Nurse aide training program completed
- Current registration on state nursing assistant registry
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and ensure safety and comfort under RN supervision.
- Take vital signs and maintain accurate records.
- Transfer patients safely and assist with hygiene and nutrition needs.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and report to RN promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment to support healing.
