Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide activities of daily living and a range of care that supports the Veteran's treatment plan, recovery, and wellness under licensed supervision across outpatient, inpatient, home, or Community Living Center settings.

You will assist in acute to chronic conditions, observe changes, document care, and support the care team with basic nursing procedures, while meeting basic education requirements and English proficiency

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of education or training related to Nursing Assistant.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• United States citizenship; VA policy governs eligibility.
• Experience or education meeting KSAs and ability to deliver range of nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under supervision.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
• Document care provided and observations in charts or electronic records.
• Perform routine nursing procedures and use equipment per policies.
• Serve as a preceptor to new Nursing Assistants and mentor teammates.
