Job summary

Fauquier Health in Warrenton, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Nurse Resident in the ICU. This 12-month Nurse Residency program offers extended orientation, clinical experiences, and classroom time to ease transition to private practice.

You will work 3-12 hour rotating shifts, gain mentorship, and join a team dedicated to high quality patient care. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• New graduate nurses with less than 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse are eligible for the Nurse Residency Program.
• Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license required; if relocating, licensure must be updated.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 7 days of hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire; NIHSS within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
