Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for night shifts (7p–7:30a). You will provide direct patient care, coordinate with physicians, and guide patient/family teaching in the ICU.

Strong critical care fundamentals and teamwork are essential. Qualifications include an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, Critical Care course, and ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and guides patient/family teaching while maintaining ICU standards of care.

Education

Current and valid state RN License

Current BLS certificate

Completion of Critical Care Course

Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation

Current ACLS certificate

Minimum of one year ICU experience

CCRN Certification preferred

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
