Job summary

Centralus Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Intensive Care Unit located onsite in Elmira, NY. The role leads daily nursing operations, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities include rounds, care planning, staff development, staffing, data analysis, and implementation of evidence-based practices. Requires BSN, NYS licensure, and BLS; ACLS required in critical care; MSn desirable.

Qualifications

• Current NYS nursing licensure.
• BLS within 90 days of hire date.
• ACLS required in critical care units.
• Experience in administration and supervision desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of daily nursing operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Conduct daily manager rounds and engage with patients, families, and staff to monitor care quality, patient satisfaction, and team performance.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to support coordinated care planning and positive patient outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing assessment, care planning, and documentation practices to ensure compliance with standards.
• Support staff competency through orientation, education, credentialing, mentoring, and ongoing professional development.
