As part of the Education leadership team, you will assess needs, plan curricula, and evaluate outcomes to enhance staff performance and patient care quality. This role emphasizes evidence-based teaching and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current NYS nursing licensure required.
• BSN required.
• Instructor certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP and AWHONN EFM as applicable.
• MSN in Nursing, Medical Administration, or Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Department of Education and coordinates with Nursing Leadership for staff education.
• Uses evidence-based practice to guide decisions and develop new initiatives and changes.
• Manages simulations, drills, and equipment maintenance for training activities.
• Collaborates with Nurse Manager to plan and update educational programs and onboarding supports.
• Ensures staff orientation, education, and regulatory compliance including Joint Commission and NYS DOH requirements.
• Assesses staff competency and provides feedback to improve skills and performance.

Education

BSN Required

NYS nursing licensure

Instructor certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM

MSN in Nursing, Medical Administration, or Education (preferred)
