Job summary

Universal Health Services in Texas is seeking a registered nurse to manage patients in acute care, including medical or surgical cases. You will provide safe, competent nursing care, assess and plan, and lead the nursing team while adhering to facility policies.

The role requires flexibility for weekends/holidays/evenings, ongoing professional development, and certification maintenance (BLS, CPR, CPI as applicable).

Qualifications

• One year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care.
• Commitment to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; attend required training and report issues.
• Texas RN license or compact state license; temporary TX license acceptable until permanent license.
• BSN preferred.
• Must have and maintain BLS.
• Maintain current ARC/AHA certifications (BCLS/CPR, CPI) as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures.
• Provide safe, competent nursing care according to facility policies and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Oversee nursing staff under supervision; interact with hospital staff and other departments.
• Occasional weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, and on-call status; uphold Service Excellence standards.
