Job summary

Under RN supervision, you will perform routine patient care, monitor patients, collect data, and assist with basic procedures. Prior nursing assistant experience is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required. Forthright commitment to safety and respectful care is expected.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Specialized education requirements for those not meeting six-month nursing assistant experience include acute care nursing assistant courses or EMT/medical assistant programs.
• Direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine patient care services such as call light response; ambulating, transferring, and positioning; personal hygiene assistance, prescribed bowel and bladder program assistance, etc.
• Collects, records, and reports various patient data.Reports changes in patient condition.
• Performs surgical skin preps, basic skin care procedures, bedside finger stick blood sugars, and quality control checks of blood glucose instruments.
