Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Seasonal RN - ICU to provide safe, competent nursing care in the ICU during night shifts (7p-7a). The role is temporary for 13 weeks with a pay rate of $60 per hour plus night shift differentials.

The hospital offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within UHS. The ideal candidate will hold an active Florida nursing license, have 2+ years of critical care experience, and possess ACLS and other required certifications

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
• Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License
• Minimum two years critical care experience required
• ACLS as of start date for all Nursing Units (except nursery)
• NRP as of start date for Women’s Center
• NIH within 90 days for ICU/PCU
• PALS and CPI within 90 days for ER; NIH within 90 days for ER
• PALS for PACU within 90 days (inexperienced PACU nurses within 90 days)

Responsibilities

• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
