Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our night shift per diem team. You will deliver high quality, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process across adult populations in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Required are California RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and EKG basics; two years ICU experience preferred. Per diem, 0.3 FTE, nights, with emphasis on safety, documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of RN Training Program.
• Completion of a basic EKG course.
• California RN license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and provide high quality patient care using the nursing process.
• Identify age-specific care needs and safety considerations; assess skin integrity, behavior, motor skills and activity risks.
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing interventions appropriately.
• Administer medications per protocol/policy and document patient responses.
• Assess patients’ conditions and develop/update individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes to physicians and other staff; follow up on lab/test results.
• Document clearly, timely and with critical thinking in the nursing process.
• Participate in quality and performance improvement programs.
