Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for per diem night shifts (12-hour shifts, 6:45pm–7:15am) in the Emergency Department. You will provide high-quality, individualized patient care using the nursing process under the Clinical Nurse Director.

Requirements include California RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS from AHA, NIH Stroke Scale, basic EKG, LA County Fire Card and ARC within 30 days, and at least one year ER experience, with ability to work in a union environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a RN Training Program.
• Minimum one year recent ER experience; not for New Grad RN’s.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to work in a union environment.
• Current California RN License.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS from the American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certificate.
• Basic EKG.
• Los Angeles County Fire Card (within 30 days of hire).
• Assault Response Competency (ARC) (within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Director, this position is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.
