Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center is hiring a Transitional RN for the ICU on the night shift. The role requires planning, coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care using the nursing process in a critical care setting.

Ideal candidates will be RN graduates with basic EKG training, California RN license and BLS/ACLS. Prior ICU experience is preferred; union environment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of RN Training Program.
• Completion of a basic EKG course.
• Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Must be able to work in a union environment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and provides high quality, individualized patient care using the nursing process.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific patient care and safety measures; communicates clearly and effectively.
• Administers medications per protocol/policy and documents patient response.
• Assesses patients’ conditions and updates plans of care.
• Monitors patients’ physiological and cognitive status and reports changes to physicians.
• Documents in a clear, timely manner with critical thinking.
• Maintains current competencies and participates in quality improvement programs.
