Qualifications

• RN Licensure is required by PA Board of Nursing or Temporary Practice Permit until RN license obtained.
• NCLEX must be taken within 60 days of starting in RN role for those with Temporary Practice Permit.
• BSN preferred; Magnet-designated positions may require BSN or higher within certain timelines.
• CPR Certification (AHA BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• Graduate nurses may practice under supervision with a current temporary permit and must complete Nurse Residency.
• All Clinical Nurse 1 RN’s must complete the Nurse Residency Program and advance to CN2 by 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across age groups from infancy to elderly.
• Collaborate with interprofessional health care team to coordinate care.
• Attend and participate in care planning and rounds.
• Adhere to nursing practice standards per ANA and organizational policies.
• Demonstrate continuous quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and safety.
