Job summary

Val Verde Regional Medical Center is seeking an ICU RN for night shifts to deliver direct and indirect care in a high-acuity setting. The role requires current TX or compact-state RN licensure, ACLS/BCLS, and strong communication with physicians regarding patient status and diagnostic results.

The RN will participate in performance improvement activities, coordinate care, and apply ACLS protocols for dysrhythmias, fluid and electrolyte management, and comprehensive assessments across age groups.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Texas or another compact state.
• Current ACLS and BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the ICU.
• Communicate patient status changes and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Develop and revise individualized plans of care with supervision.
• Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmias.
