Job summary

Montclair Hospital Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in the ICU during night shifts. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, communicating with physicians and caring for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel in the ICU.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
