Job summary

Montclair Hospital Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in the ICU, following the nursing process and collaborating with physicians. The role includes direct patient care, patient education, and guiding nursing staff while ensuring privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements include an active state RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days, and CCU experience preferred; BSN and CCRN are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certificate required within 30 days of hire.
• Critical Care Course preferred.
• Minimum of one year as staff RN in acute care; CCU preferred.
• CCRN Certification preferred; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel and teaching activities.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician, including hemodynamics and test results.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Completion of Critical Care Course preferred. 4. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.5. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 6. Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.7. Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred. 8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $41.57 to $57.07.
