Job summary

MedCadre is seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for night shift coverage. You will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, continuously monitor, administer medications and treatments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires current RN licensure in the applicable state, ICU experience preferred, and BLS/ACLS certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• ICU/critical care experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred or required depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation and other indicators.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
• Manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, and critical care equipment.
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Assist with procedures and emergency interventions.
• Provide wound care and other specialized nursing procedures.
• Educate and support patients and families regarding treatment and care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Follow infection control, patient safety and critical care standards.
