Job summary

Kindred Hospital Dayton is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in a 97-bed hospital with LTACH and Behavioral Health Unit services. You will function within the nursing process, supervise care from other staff, and coordinate with physicians and families to develop comprehensive plans for patient recovery.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication required.
• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities, and function under stressful situations.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must have good and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality patient care to critically ill patients using the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation).
• Supervises nursing care provided to each patient by other caregivers.
• Develops and updates the nursing care plan in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Administers medications following the seven rights and ICU policies.
• Assists with emergency measures and critical event management including ACLS protocols.
