Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ICU on night shifts in Waxahachie, TX. This 18-bed unit maintains a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and emphasizes teamwork, safety, and quality outcomes.

You will work with intensivists, therapists, pharmacists, and other specialists to deliver coordinated care. We value professional growth, evidence-based critical care, and a patient- and family-centered approach.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of critical care experience.
• RN license required and active.
• BLS certification or able to obtain within 30 days.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with EMR and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and create care plans.
• Prioritize patient and family needs and ensure safety.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on care plans.
• Delegate tasks based on condition and team competency.
• Coordinate with intensivists, therapists, and pharmacists.
• Develop and adjust care plans to achieve outcomes.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.
