Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU on night shift. This full-time role offers 12-hour nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM in an 18-bed unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.

As part of a collaborative ICU team you will assess patients, develop care plans, educate families, and coordinate with physicians, therapists, and staff to deliver high‑quality, safety‑focused care.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of critical care experience is required.
• RN license (RN) and BLS certification are required or must be obtained within 30 days of start.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and create care plans.
• Educate patients and families; document learning needs.
• Collaborate with ICU team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Delegate tasks and ensure safety and quality outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate with other staff.
