Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for a seasonal night shift assignment. The RN will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within the department, collaborating with the care team and physicians to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role emphasizes education for patients and families, documentation, and adherence to evidence-based practices. The assignment runs from September 20, 2026 to April 3, 2027, requiring a minimum of 72 hours per pay period, weekend shifts

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
• 1+ year of ICU experience required

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures.
• Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Teaches patients and families about non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet quality measures and enhance patient care.
