Job summary

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the department’s standards and practice for the relevant state and specialty at Medical City Dallas.

During the seasonal period from September 20, 2026 to April 3, 2027, this role requires a night shift with a rate of $62/hour. Expect at least 72 hours per pay period, weekend shifts every 4 weeks, and potential float to nearby facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN (Registered Nurse) credential required.
• Associate Degree required.
• 1+ year ICU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures; translates complex medical terminology for clarity.
• Teaches patients about non-medicinal follow-up measures such as diet and exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes; prepares patients and families for self-management.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement to meet or exceed quality measures and enhance care quality.
• Coordinates, evaluates, customizes, and delivers a holistic patient treatment plan in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
