Job summary

Responsibilities include helping patients with activities of daily living, maintaining clean and safe rooms, transporting items for care, and supporting the care team to create a compassionate patient experience. Emphasis on safety, teamwork, and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed clinicians in direct and indirect patient care on the assigned unit.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and maintain environmental cleanliness and safety of patient rooms.
• Assist in transporting supplies and running errands for patient care; support care team to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Perform delegable nursing tasks as directed by the RN, including basic observations and documentation with minimal judgment.
• Collect height, weight, vital signs, intake and output; document data in EMR using portable technology; report concerns to the RN.
