Job summary

Kathlyn Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join the ICU team for night shifts. This full-time role emphasizes collaboration with intensivists, surgeons, hospitalists, and nurses to deliver high-quality critical care to critically ill patients.

You will work under the Medical Director of the ICU, performing assessment, stabilization, and ongoing management, while practicing at the top of your license in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field and completion of a 2-year NP/PA program.
• Licensure as NP or PA with applicable state credentials.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• 1 year ICU/critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-admission histories and physical examinations with physician collaboration.
• Assist in ICU admission decisions and care planning.
• Perform central venous/arterial line insertions and other procedures as trained.
• Manage patient rounds, update EMR, and communicate care plans to team.
• Coordinate discharge planning and family education.
