Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider in the ICU to join a collaborative, patient-centered team. You will work with Intensivists, surgeons, hospitalists, nurses and care teams to deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients.

Reporting to the ICU Medical Director, you will participate in admission, stabilization, treatment, and ongoing management, perform procedures including arterial line insertion, and coordinate discharge planning while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field and completion of a 2-year PA or NP program.
• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• 0-1 years related ICU or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the ICU team to assess patients and plan care.
• Perform diagnostic testing, monitor progress, and adjust care.
• Lead orders, rounds, and coordinate with Intensivists and surgeons.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Document care activities in the EMR and coordinate discharges.
