Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for ICU nights at Newark, OH. Under RN supervision, you will assist with patient care in a high-acuity ICU environment.

Responsibilities include lifts and transfers, specimen collection, monitoring, vital signs, documentation in EMR, and stocking supplies. Minimum high school diploma; CPR certification; LMHS values safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or must be maintained.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• EMR documentation skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lift, transfer, and transport patients safely to inpatient beds and to related departments.
• Collect, label, and enter specimens obtained.
• Provide one-to-one monitoring for high-risk patients as directed.
• Obtain vitals signs and weights.
• Enter work orders in the computer system.
• Stock supplies at the bedside.
