Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU on the night shift, a full-time position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

The ICU is a high-acuity unit with 18 beds and a typical 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio. You will work with intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and care teams to deliver patient- and family-centered care.

Must have 1–2 years ICU experience, RN license, and BLS certification; benefits available.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of critical care experience.
• RN license required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Educate patients and families; document learning needs and progress.
• Delegate tasks based on patient condition and team competencies.
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists and other staff for care delivery.
• Prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in care planning.
• Work with the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
