Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU at Waxahachie, TX, to work nights in an 18-bed unit with a 1:2 patient ratio. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, teamwork, and family-centered care within a top Texas health system.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with intensivists, therapists and pharmacists. Must have 1–2 years ICU experience and an RN license; BLS required or obtained within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must have 1-2 years of critical care experience.
• RN license required.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed clinical assessments and create/adjust care plans.
• Educate patients and families and document learning needs.
• Collaborate with ICU team to deliver coordinated, patient- and family-centered care.
• Follow Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on competencies.
