Job summary

Select Medical's Select Specialty Hospital - Milwaukee - West Allis in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the night-shift team on a PRN/per diem basis. The CNA will contribute to inpatient post-ICU care with compassionate, high-quality services.

The role supports patient bathing, rounds, transport, and room sanitation while upholding safety and cleanliness standards. Prior CNA experience and BLS are preferred; orientation is provided on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing, oral care, oral feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients and assist with wheelchairs when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and instruments.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
