Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a registered nurse to deliver high‑quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. The role involves teamwork across nursing processes, patient education, and discharge planning, with emphasis on safety and compassionate care for diverse patient populations.

The position requires an Associate degree in nursing, NJ RN license, and ongoing certifications (BLS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS where applicable).

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in New Jersey.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• TNCC and 8 hours of trauma CNE within 12 months if assigned to ICU/ER units.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or obtain within orientation period with required CNE hours.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire if assigned to specified units.
• NRP/PALS as required by unit assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care using the nursing process with teamwork.
• Ensure patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Assist in pain management with pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic measures.
• Coordinate with care teams and discharge planning.
• Contribute to performance improvement and Joint Commission readiness.
